CrossFit breeds community!! I love how people of all walks I life come together for an hour to train to better themselves by doing exactly the same workout!!
Case in point… I crushed with the one and only Jaleel White (Steve Urkel) this morning at 6:30am!!
Immediately after our WOD…
Me “awesome job today man, way to push through”
*dap…
His response “you go Hard dog, you go Hard!”
Grab it by the Horns!!!
Had a great start to the day at Golden State CrossFit this morning at 6:30am. I usually don’t like to WOD this early but with all the work I need to do today I figured I would knock it out.
Great team WOD this morning. I am really enjoying this box that is located in West LA 11174 La Grange Ave. I encourage you to check out this new box and get in there to be apart of their community! They are having their grand opening on February 25th which is sponsored by BarBells for Boobs… A benefit for mammograms in action.
Contact me if you are interested. Be the best version of yourself everyday!!

Strength breeds confidence! I have doubled my max dead lift in the last 5 months, without concentrating on just the dead lift alone. Functional training proves ideal time and time again. I look forward to tripling my body weight someday!
I weigh 168lbs now
Feels good to be back the WODs these last couple days. Although I have toned down the weight I have kept up the intensity. With the CrossFit Open creeping up fast I am itching to get busy again! Looking forward to hitting some new goals so that I can make some new ones. Even with the CF Open, it is just another goal I will accomplish and be able to set another goal immediately after completion.
What are your goals? No matter how small, large, long term, or short term, it is imperative to have goals. Otherwise what are you working towards. Use goals you set in training to be relatable to real life. Training functionally will allow this transition to be organic!
Get busy!!

After a great visit with the in laws up in San Luis Obispo, I have been left with a body, or more specific, hamstrings that are as tight as game day cleats!! SFH fish oil and clean food along with the lacrosse ball aka “wrecking ball” for a recovery day. The CrossFit Games open is just around the corner. Looking forward to my first competition.
What are you up to today?

Thursday, Friday, Saturday were some great WODs done at CrossFit Inferno located in San Luis Obispo. After the WODs on Friday and Saturday we hiked Madonna mountain and the Firefighter hill. I can really feel the difference in my soreness as I pushed hard during the WODs and then hiked. I don’t get enough hiking in LA:-(
If you are in the central coast area make sure to check out either CrossFit Inferno in San Luis Obispo and/or CrossFit Northern Inferno located in Paso Robles. We had the luxury of working out in both Boxes and if I lived in the area I would be going to both.

After those 3 a days I took two days off and then hit the ground running again. We took a trip up North to San Luis Obispo and both my wife and I have been working out at both CrossFit Inferno locations (SLO, Paso). If you are in the area, you owe it to yourself to come and get the best workouts you’ve ever had. I really stand behind that. I am 31 years old and I am in the bet shape of my life (que cheesy smile and infomercial). Seriously you really owe it to yourself to be the best version of yourself everyday. Start with a CrossFit box in your local area and you will get there I’m no time!!
Doing things like spending quality time with family doing physical activities bring us closer together. Having the ability to hike a mountain whilst carrying your almost three year old, when she needs breaks, is testament to functional training and it’s importance for quality of life!!
